StudioPress released an update to Genesis – Genesis 3.0.
The word from StudioPress is that it’s leaner and more capable.
The changes are in the changelog but the biggest addition is full Google AMP compatibility. Google AMP (Accelerated Mobile Pages) is a web component framework and a website publishing technology developed by Google which has the mission to “[p]rovide a user-first format for web content. Killer fast page speed and improved search visibility for those who need it!
AMP capabilities are opt-in in Genesis. If you don’t want to use AMP, you don’t have to.
As with any update, but especially major ones… my advice is to wait at least a few days to update. There have been some reports, so a conservative update approach is best.
As always, let me know if we can help.
